Do you love children & enjoy roles in customer service?Then this unique opportunity is for you. Kids Play Cafe is a successful, long established play cafe in the vibrant area of Lower Charminster, Bournemouth. Situated on a main road, it is easy to get to and has good visibility to passing traffic. We took over the café last year and prior to that the previous owners owned the cafe for 6 years  The cafe has custom made role play equipment including a large pirate ship, house, train & police car. The cafe is bright, welcoming had aimed at our little customers ages 0-6 years old. The warm feel means that customers return again & again. We will be open most week days from 9 o'clock until 3pm (last entry an hour before close) and 9:45 until 14:45 on Saturdays (we will close to the public if we have a party booked at the weekend - updated on here or please phone to check). This may be subject to change as if we are not busy we will probably close early or open later if we have people walk in. Call me on 01202 989494 if you are thinking of coming in.


I am interested in seeing if there would be much interest in running group sessions on Monday or Wednesdays.

While your little ones embark on exciting adventures as pirates sailing the seas, riding the rails on a train, or maintaining peace as police officers, you can relax with a hot drink and a sweet treat while catching up with friends or joining in on their escapades.

Parties are from 4 pm weekdays (Monday to Thursdays) and from 13:15 pm, Saturday and 9:45 Sundays.- Deposits of £25  and balance due the week beforehand.

Ruby Party Package
Private Hire - Bring your own food

**Pricing:** £145 for 1.5 hours or £165 for 2 hours  

Host your own party for both children and adults! Enjoy the freedom to cater your event. Complimentary water and squash are provided.

Emerald Party Package

**Pricing:** £165  for 1.5 hours 


Our Standard Party Package (up to 16 children) offers all the essentials for a fun celebration that your child will love.

Sapphire Party Package

  • Adult refreshments can be purchased at the cafe (2 hot drinks are included in this package).

Diamond Party Package 

Indulge in our Diamond Party Package with exclusive use of the venue. We'll cater for your child, their friends and provide a platter for the adult guests


With our Diamond Party Package, you can have:-


  • Exclusive venue use for 2 hours for up to 16 children and 32 adults (£215) - We are limited to 48 people altogether.
  • Party Platters (Sandwiches (ham, cheese, jam and marmite), Cocktail Sausages, Snacks, Crisps, Bread Sticks, Vegetable Sticks, Fruit, Jelly and unlimited squash/water).
  • Adult Platter of Sandwiches (24 quarters) and crisps.
  • Adult refreshments can be purchased at the cafe (2 hot drinks are included in this package).
  • Bring along a cake and party bags.

Pirate and Mermaid Party?

We can help out with special Pirate or Mermaid themed party bags, decorations, walk the plank/stick the tail on the mermaid games for an addition £3 per child. 

Baby Shower - Afternoon Tea

Exclusive hire of the Cafe, where you can Invite friends and family to a Baby Shower (I have decor and games you may wish to use) or a get together. We will provide afternoon tea (delicious sandwiches, scones, clotted cream, jam, crudites, and mini desserts with pots of tea and coffee). Bring a bottle of Proscecco if you wish - we have glasses). £17.50 per head (minimum of 10 adults). Children (up to 16) are welcome. Additional children's food/drink can be purchased at the cafe).
